‘Jana Chaitanya Puraskara’ presentation
Mysore/Mysuru: To mark the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations, Jana Chaitanya Foundation has organised a musical evening of Kannada film songs under the title ‘Hachhevu Kannada Deepa’ at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road in city tomorrow (Nov. 30) at 4 pm. On the occasion, achievers from various fields will be conferred with ‘Jana Chaitanya Puraskara.’
Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city yesterday, Foundation President R. Lakshman said that Kannada Sahiyta Parishat Mysuru District President Maddikere Gopal will inaugurate the programme. Industrialist Ravi Gowda will preside.
Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Secretary Dr. N.C. Venkataraju, Mysore Bar Association President M. Mahadevaswamy and others will be the guests.
‘Jana Chaitanya Puraskara’ will be presented to senior advocate H.V. Srinath, Dr. Rekha Arun, lecturer Yedeyur Samiullah, officer Anil Christy, social activist K. Prasanna Chakravarthy, M. Chandrashekar of Co-operation field, retd. veterenarian H. Prasad and keyboard artiste S. Venkatesh, he said.
Singer M. Puttaswamy, T. Chethan and Jai Bhuvaneshwari Trust President Thippaiah were present at the press meet.
