Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, in association with UiPath and Hack2skill, had organised a one-day hackathon at its Sri H. Kempegowda Indoor Sports Complex, VVCE, Mysuru, on May 13.
The hackathon was inaugurated by chief guest, Lovely Sinha, Associate at JP Morgan Chase, MVP, UiPath and presided by Gundappa Gowda, President, Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Mysuru.
P. Vishwanath, Secretary, Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Mysuru, Shrishaila Ramannavar, Treasurer, Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Mysuru, Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE and Dr. V. Ravi Kumar, Dean – Faculty of Computer Sciences ,VVCE, were the guests of honour. Dr. M.R. Pooja, Professor & Head, Department of CS&E, VVCE, Student and Faculty Coordinators of the Hackathon and staff of CS&E were present during the inaugural function. The chief guest was felicitated by the dignitaries on the occasion.
The event offered the students a platform to showcase their skills in Robotic Process Automation. During the event, the students gained a chance to develop innovative solutions to a range of use cases provided by UiPath.
A total of 110 students in 30 teams participated in the event after successful idea submissions following the completion of RPA Citizen Developer Foundation course as a prerequisite for the hackathon.
The student teams presented their solutions to the use cases given, which was judged by a groups of RPA experts headed by Lovely Sinha and three best teams were awarded with prizes.
