Half-baked civic work puts public in danger

Sir,

After the heavy rains three weeks ago a tree inside the Postal Training Centre (PTC), Nazarbad, fell over the compound on to the Karanji Lake Road (Thandi Sadak Road) partially blocking the stretch. While the authorities immediately cut the branches to clear the road, their half-baked work did not manage to clear the road as two big branches of the tree are left protruding on the edge of the road (see pic) and are posing danger to motorists.

Now, even though the road appears to be cleared, the protruding branches force the motorists to veer to the middle of the road creating traffic hazard. It is pitiable to see the callous attitude of our civic authorities where they cannot even clear a tree branch properly. It is pure apathy considering that they were anyway cutting the branches, couldn’t they cut properly?

I hope the protruding tree branches are removed at the earliest before some untoward incident occurs and destroys an innocent citizen’s life. Also, Dasara is fast approaching, which means traffic on this road is going to increase.
