‘Handover Mysore Coffee Curing Co-op. Society to members for revival’

Mysuru:  The members of the Mysore Coffee Curing Co-operative Society (MCPCS), who are urging for the revival of the Society by cancelling its liquidation, participated in the meeting at the Society premises on KRS Road by wearing black badges this morning. The meeting is being held in the presence of Liquidation Officer J. Vikramraje Urs.

Mysore Coffee Curing Co-operative Society Hitarakshana Samithi President Mookonda Bose Devaiah, who submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister, Co-operation Minister and the General Manager of the Co-operative Department to the Liquidation Officer on behalf of the members has urged them to annul the Society’s liquidation and handover the Society to the members for reviving it.

Devaiah said that, as the Society was in debts and the Liquidation Officer on June 23 and July 25, 2007, disposed off 1.20 acre of the 10.22 acres of land owned by the Society and cleared all the debts of the Society, thus freeing the society from all debts. A General Body Meeting of the Society was held on Sept.1, 2015 in Mysuru which was presided over by the Liquidation Officer and an unanimous resolution was passed at the meeting on reviving the Society. But the Liquidation Officer has not taken any measures for reviving the Society, he has alleged and has urged to annul the Society’s liquidation and handover the Society to the members for reviving it.
