Kumbla Hanumanth Nayak (92), retired Joint Director of Land Records Department and former President of Saraswatha Brahmin Samaj, passed away yesterday morning at his residence in V.V. Mohalla following brief illness.
He leaves behind five sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam here last evening, according to family sources.
