February 19, 2025

Mysuru: A woman, who had taken loans from private money lenders for family maintenance, has gone missing following alleged harassment from money lenders and her husband Mohan Kumar, an ex-serviceman, has lodged a complaint at Yelwal Police Station in this regard.

The woman, who has gone missing is 34-year-old S. Shruthi, a resident of Bhadregowdanakoppal village in Yelwal hobli.

In his complaint, Mohan Kumar has stated that, when he was in service, his mother, wife and three children were staying in Bhadregowdanakoppal village.

On Jan. 25, Shruthi called him over the phone and informed him that she had taken hand loans for family maintenance from a few people, who were now coming to the house and demanding payment of the money she had taken and hence she was staying at her relative’s house in Bengaluru.

Mohan has further stated that he told his wife that he was retiring from service this month and had asked her to return home so that they could talk and solve the issue. But when he came home on Feb. 1, he did not find Shruthi in the house and when he asked his mother, she said that as money lenders were harassing Shruthi, she said that she was going to Bengaluru on Jan. 24, Mohan added. Pointing out that he searched for his wife everywhere and could not find her, Mohan said that, hence, he was lodging a missing complaint.

Yelwal Police, who have registered a case, have asked those having any information about Shruthi to contact Yelwal Police on Ph: 0821-2402222 or the District Police Control Room on Ph: 0821-2444800.
