Hardware shop employee flees with Rs. 1.5 lakh cash from shop

Mysuru: An incident of a hardware shop employee fleeing with Rs.1.5 lakh cash from the shop has been reported in city.

The incident took place at Sri Shakthi Ganapathi Hardware shop belonging to Tangaraju in Mandi Mohalla here.

Tangaraju, who was in financial problem, had pledged gold ornaments at Manappuram Finance on Oct.20 for Rs. 1.5 lakh and had kept the cash in the cash box before going out on some work.

When he returned after sometime, he found the cash and his employee identified as Shivakumar, who was employed about a week back, missing and immediately lodged a complaint.

Mandi Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.

Flat burgled: Gold ornaments stolen: Miscreants, who broke into a flat in Bhavana Apartments in Bamboo Bazar by breaking the door, have decamped with gold ornaments from the flat.

The theft took place in the flat of one Mithun, where burglars have decamped with 40 grams gold mangalya and 4 grams gold pendant.

Mandi Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
