Bengaluru: The 86th Akhila Bharatha Kannada Sahitya Sammelana will be held in Haveri from Feb. 26 to Feb.28, 2021.
This was decided at the State Executive Committee meeting of Kannada Sahitya Parishat presided by Parishat President Manu Baligar here on Tuesday.
In a press release, he said the meeting decided to submit a memorandum to simplify guidelines in the wake of decreasing COVID-19 cases in the State, and to give permission to hold ‘Akshara Jathre.’ The issue of holding the Kannada meet has already been discussed with Home Minister and Haveri District Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Agriculture Minister B.C. Patil and Haveri City MLA Nehru Olekar recently, Baligar added.
