Hazardous roads at Hebbal, Vijayanagar

Sir,

This is to bring to your attention the hazardous condition of the roads in Hebbal and Vijayanagar following recent underground electric cable installation works.

The roads have been left in disrepair, with many sections still open or improperly filled. This has created a significant safety risk for motorists, particularly two-wheeler riders, due to uneven surfaces and loose debris.

Additionally, in several locations near culverts and bridges, cables have been routed above ground through GI pipes rather than being placed underground, creating further obstructions.

The restoration efforts to date have been inadequate. The bitumen application is uneven, resulting in ridges and depressions that make navigation difficult for all commuters, especially senior citizens.

I request that the Mysuru City Corporation take immediate corrective action to properly level and asphalt these stretches to ensure they are returned to a safe and motorable condition.
