Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Monday ordered issuance of notice to IAS officer B. Sharat, in connection with the Government’s plea questioning the CAT’s (Central Administrative Tribunal) order directing it (the Government) to reconsider its order on the appointment of Rohini Sindhuri as Mysuru DC in Sept. last year. The Government had posted another IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri after B. Sharat, who was posted in August last following the transfer of Abhiram G. Sankar, was just one month into his job.
During the hearing yesterday, the Advocate representing the Government brought to the notice of the HC Bench headed by Justice Aravindkumar, that Rohini Sindhuri, who was Mysuru DC, has been transferred out of Mysuru.
Taking note of the Government Advocate’s submission, the Bench directed for issuance of notice to Sharat, who is the respondent in the case and posted the next hearing to June 14.
IAS Officer B. Sharat too has petitioned the HC questioning the CAT’s directive to the Government. Likewise, the Government too has petitioned the HC questioning the CAT’s direction. The HC Bench is hearing both the petitions together for disposing off the case.
