‘There is no question of unholiness when we have the numbers’

Mangaluru:  Even as his temple-run continued for the third day yesterday, Chief Minister-designate H.D. Kumaraswamy (HDK) maintained that there was no question of unholiness when the Congress-JD(S) combine had the numbers.

Speaking to press-persons here after visiting Dharmasthala and Sringeri yesterday, Kumaraswamy said that his Government would last until it enjoyed majority in the  Legislative Assembly.

Reiterating that the question of holy or unholy alliance does not arise here, the State JD(S) President and CM-designate said that he has been visiting temples to pray for good rains and welfare of the State.

Observing that Congress- JD(S) coalition Government was due to divine blessings, he sought the co-operation of Legislators, political leaders for all-round development of the State.

Pointing out that as head of the coalition Government, he has the responsibility of fulfilling the pre-poll promises of both the Congress and JD(S), Kumaraswamy, reacting to BJP leaders comments that the coalition would not last long, retorted that the Government would last until it had the blessings of the Almighty.

Kumaraswamy, after having darshan of Lord Manjunathweshwara Swamy in Dharamasthala, visited Sringeri, where he took part in Chandika Yaga at Sharadamba Temple.
