Head Constable suspended for aiding burglars to sell stolen gold

Mysuru: The Head Constable, accused of aiding burglars in selling stolen gold ornaments, has been suspended.

The Head Constable, who has been suspended, is Raju, attached to Ashokapuram Police Station in city. The suspension order was issued by City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar.

Two burglars were recently arrested by Mandi Police and during interrogation, the burglars had confessed of committing burglaries in Devaraja, Srirangapatna, Vidyaranyapuram and in other Police Station limits.

When Mandi Police sought information about the stolen gold jewellery, the Police came to know about the involvement of Head Constable Raju.

When the Cops interrogated the two accused further, they came to know that Raju had aided these two burglars in selling the stolen gold. In this backdrop, Raju was suspended and was interrogated.
