Headmaster murdered near Mandya

A school headmaster who was on his way for some work at his school on his motorbike was murdered by a gang this morning near Mandya. The gang members, who came in a car, slit the victim’s throat and left the body by the side of the road and fled.  

The incident occurred at Arechakanahalli in Maddur Taluk of Mandya District.

The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Shashibhushan (in pic), a resident of Guthalu Layout in Mandya.

According to the Police, Shashibhushan, who was the headmaster of Bidirahosahalli Government Primary School, was riding his motorbike towards his school at around 8.30 am today. As he neared a deserted place at Arechakanahalli, a car that was following him hit his bike from behind.

Losing balance, Shashibhushan fell off his bike and the gang members overpowered him and slit his throat by the side of the road.

The gang members later fled the spot. Some passers-by who spotted the body alerted the K.M. Doddi Police who have registered a case. The killing of the headmaster in broad daylight has shocked the residents of Arechakanahal
