Health Minister of Tibetan Govt. in Exile feted

Bylakuppe: The Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society, Bylakuppe charter, felicitated the Health Minister of Tibetan Govt. in Exile Choekoung Wanchu and the Health Secretary Tsegyal at Bylakuppe Sekya Guest House here recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Choekoung Wanchu said that the Tibetans, under the leadership of His Holiness Dalai Lama, are still hopping that the people of Republic of China will invite for a peaceful negotiation to solve the Tibetan issue.

Choekoung Wanchu also said that the PLA (People’s Liberation Army) is unnecessarily creating the unhealthy atmosphere between the China and India border and he asserted that India is capable of tackling the said situation.

Earlier, he inaugurated the workshop for the Hospital heads of various Tibetan Monasteries in the settlement about the on going health projects undertaken by the Monasteries.

B.V.J. Gowda, President of ITFS, briefed the activities of the Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society and also welcomed Choekoung Wanchu and Health Secretary Tsegyal. Lakpa Tstiring introduced the Health Minister.

Pema Delak, the Member of Parliament, Gelak, the Settlement Officer and the Executive Members of the Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society namely J.P. Urs, Sathish and Ragu were present on the occasion.
