Heavy rains lash Mysuru

Mysuru: The city experienced heavy showers last night which resulted in disruption of power supply in a few areas. The Met Department had predicted rains for three days in the city. As a result the temperature had soared from morning itself through the day. By evening clouds had gathered and it started raining around 8 pm which lasted for nearly one-and-a-half hours.  It rained heavily in Bannimantap, Yadavagiri, Tilaknagar, Ashokapuram, Kuvempunagar, Bogadi 2nd Stage and other areas.

In Sharadadevinagar, the branch of a tree fell on the road causing problems to traffic movement. However, water entering low lying areas has not been reported.
