Pathanamthitta (Kerala) Oct. 23 (UNI)- An accident occurred at Pramadam Stadium in Pathanamthitta yesterday when a portion of the helipad tarmac caved in as a helicopter carrying President Murmu landed.

The incident happened shortly after the helicopter touched down at Pramadam. According to officials at the site, the chopper’s wheels slipped into the newly concreted temporary helipad surface, which had not yet fully set. This caused a depression that trapped the aircraft.

Emergency personnel from both the Police and Fire Departments intervened and manually manoeuvred the helicopter out of the affected area. Neither the President nor any crew members aboard the helicopter were reported to have sustained injuries in the incident.
