Herd of sheep enters into private farm land: Land owner beats up shepherd boy, ties him to a tree at Belagola

Srirangapatna: A land owner allegedly beat up a shepherd boy and one of his relatives for allowing sheep to enter his farm land besides tying up the shepherd boy to a tree and harassing him.

The incident took place in KRS Police limits in the taluk yesterday and the land owner, who is accused of this inhuman act, is Harsha of Belagola village in the taluk.

A group of shepherds from Sira, had come with their flock of sheep and were staying in Belagola. As a few sheep entered the farm land of Harsha, some shepherds including the boy, entered the farm land to chase the sheep back. But Harsha, caught hold of the boy for trespassing into his property, tied him up to a tree and beat him up.

A few people, who heard the screams of the boy, came to the spot only to see the boy tied to a tree and being beaten up and immediately informed the Police, who rushed to the spot and rescued the boy.

The Police, who have registered a case of atrocity on the accused, are investigating.
