High drama at Coffee Day as employee threatens to jump from building

Mysuru: High drama was witnessed at the Coffee Day building on D. Devaraj Urs Road as an employee threatened to commit suicide by leaping from the building yesterday afternoon causing tension for sometime.

The Coffee Day employee who threatened to jump down from the building has been identified as Yogesh.

Yogesh, who climbed the building alleging that he was not being paid salary besides being harassed, began to shout from atop the two-storey building and threatened to jump down.

Devaraja Inspector Thimmaraju and staff, who rushed to the spot, reached the top of the building through a different way, rescued Yogesh and took him to the Police Station and interrogated him, during which Yogesh is said to have told the Police that he was not being paid salary as per the work besides being harassed, which forced him to attempt suicide.
