Hindi Day celebrated at CSR&TI

Mysuru: Hindi Diwas celebrated at CSR&TI in city recently. Dr. Rekha Agarwal, Assistant Professor, University of Mysore, was the chief guest.

Dr. Satish Varma, Scientist-E welcomed and the Official Language messages of the Chairman, CSB, was read by Dr. Vineet Kumar, Scientist-D and the message of Member Secretary (In-charge) was read by Deeraj Kumar, Deputy Director (F).

Prizes were distributed to the winners of various Hindi competitions held during the Hindi fortnight. K. Sachi, Senior Translator, presented the annual report regarding Official Language activities.

In her keynote address, Dr. Rekha Agarwal expressed that language reflects culture and added that by learning languages one would be able to gain insight into different cultures  and customs.

Delivering the Presidential address, Director of the Institute Dr. V. Sivaprasad said that Hindi is being effectively implemented at the institute and appealed all the staff to accept Hindi and to enhance the usage of Hindi in the day to day work.

A cultural programme was organised on the occasion during which Girijamma, Assistant Director, Rajarathnam Pillai, and Sanjivaiah rendered Hindi songs. Dr. Vinod Kumar Yadav, Scientist-C proposed a vote of thanks.
