Hindu Jagaran Vedike, Mysuru, has organised a mega torchlight rally from Maruthi temple at N.R. Mohalla to Shaneshwara Swamy temple at Rajendranagar in city at 6.30 pm today, to observe the Partition of the country as ‘Black Day.’ It was on this day on Aug. 14, 1947, India was Partitioned into two Nations.
Vedike Coordinator Rangaswamy told media persons yesterday that the rally has been organised to resolve the concept of ‘Akhanda Bharat’ (United India). The torchlight rally will pass through various thoroughfares of the city and following the culmination of the rally at Shaneshwara Swamy temple, a meeting has been organised.
