Mysore/Mysuru: Hindustan First Grade College (HFGC), J.P. Nagar, affiliated to University of Mysore, offers courses in B.Com, BCA, B.Sc Fashion Designing and BBA Aviation Management with International Air Transport Association (IATA) Certification.
The Hindustan Group of Institutions has announced a unique All India ‘Adopt a COVID Warrior Ward Scheme.’ Under this scheme, selected wards of COVID Warriors who have lost their lives protecting our countrymen in the pandemic will be given complete tuition fee waiver in the discipline of their choice, having met the basic laid down norms.
This scheme will cover all the expenses of the student including boarding and lodging, keeping in line with its Founder-Chairman Dr. K.C.G. Verghese’s philosophy of unflinching solidarity with COVID warriors who give their lives in the service of our country. The scholarship will cover only for the prescribed period of course.
HFGC has also introduced a ‘COVID Frontline Warriors Scholarship Scheme’ for the wards of Doctors, Healthcare Professionals, Government and Service Personnel who have rendered their services for COVID. It will cover all the expenses of the student including boarding and lodging for the prescribed period.
The College has instituted Dr.KCG Verghese scholarship under three categories:
1. Merit Scholarship will be provided to students who have scored 70% and above in the PUC/+2 examination.
2. Merit cum Means Scholarship to meritorious students who are economically weak/ physically challenged/ children of Exservicemen and those serving in defence.
3. Sports and Cultural Scholarship to students with outstanding performance in sports and cultural activities at State and national level.
