Hindustani concert by sister duo

Mysuru/Mysore: Ganabharathi is organising a Hindustani musical concert by sisters —Sindhu and Kshama Manjunath — at  Veene Seshanna Bhavan on Adichunchanagiri Road in city on Mar. 6 at 6 pm. 

The vocalists will be accompanied by Pandit Deepak Nagannanavar on harmonium and Pandit Ramesh Dhannur on tabla. 

Artistes’ Profiles

 Sindhu and Kshama Manjunath had their initial training from their father P.R. Manjunath who is the disciple of Pandit Sheshadri Gavayi. They are now under the tutelage of  Vidushi Geetha Heggade. These promising duo has already performed at a number of prestigious organisations and received many prizes. 

Deepak Nagannavar is a graduate in Fine Arts. He is pursuing his post graduate studies in vocal music at Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru. He continues to learn harmonium from Pandit Dr. Ravindra Gururaj Katoti. 

Pandit Ramesh Dhannur is the disciple of Paramapoojya Gadugina Pandit Puttaraj Gawai. He has accompanied his teacher in a number of concerts. He teaches at Swara Sankula School of Music and also works as tabla accompanist at Music University. He is the recipient of many honours.
