Mysore/Mysuru: BGGC Chamber Concerts, a dedicated platform for promoting Indian culture and traditions, has organised a Hindustani classical vocal concert featuring Dr. Sandhya Bhat on Saturday (July 22) at Bhakti Gaurava Gita Centre (BGGC) in Vontikoppal here at 5.30 pm.
Renowned for her prodigious musical journey, Dr. Sandhya Bhat’s love for music blossomed at the tender age of 8. She received her initial training under the guidance of Vidushi Bhakula Hegde and Vidwan Shripad Hegde. Currently she is continuing her vocal riyaz under the tutelage of the renowned artiste, Vidushi Gauri Pathare, Mumbai.
Under the guidance of esteemed mentors she excelled in her vocal studies, achieving top honours in State-level exams. Holding a Master of Arts (M.A) in Hindustani classical vocal with three Gold Medals, her musical prowess is impressive.
Having earned her Ph.D. in Hindustani music and being recognised with numerous prestigious awards, Dr. Sandhya Bhat’s captivating performances have resonated with audiences across Karnataka.
