Home Minister visits Palace with family, hold talks with Pramoda Devi Wadiyar

Mysore/Mysuru: Home Minister G. Parameshwar who was on a visit to Mysuru city for the first time after assuming office, met Mysore Royal Family member Pramoda Devi Wadiyar at the Palace and held talks yesterday.

Dr. Parameshwar and wife Kannika offered puja to Sri Chamundeshwari, installed on a wooden Ambari at Gombe Thotti in the Palace.

Later, they visited Durbar Hall of the Palace and posed for photographs. Pramoda Devi Wadiyar warmly welcomed Dr. Parameshwar and his wife Kannika, who called on her at her private residence in the Palace by offering them bouquets. Home Minister and Pramoda Devi held talks for about half an hour .

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Parameshwar recalled that he had very close association with late Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar and in this regard he was paying a courtesy visit to Pramoda Devi Wadiyar.

The Home Minster also visited Chamundi Hill and offered special puja to Godess Sri Chamundeshwari with family members.

Later, Dr. Parameshwar met KPCC spokesperson H.A. Venkatesh at his residence in J.P. Nagar and had breakfast with him.

Former MLA M.K. Somashekar, District Congress President Dr. B.J. Vijayakumar and Congress party media spokesperson Mahesh  accompanied the Home Minister.

As per protocol, City Police Commissioner B. Ramesh, DCP (Law and Order) Muthuraj and other Police officers were present.
