Mysore/Mysuru: Two persons including a woman evading the Police investigating into a honey-trapping case since over a month, were arrested from a lodge in Kannur, Kerala recently.

The accused are Kavana and Saif, who were arrested by Bylakuppe Police. Following their arrest, the number of accused arrested in the case has touched to three including Shivanna, a Constable attached to Hunsur Rural Police Station.

The trio had allegedly hatched a plot to honey trap Dinesh Kumar, a cloth shop owner on June 14. They had summoned the victim to a place in Maradiyuru village in Periyapatna taluk, only to torture the victim, besides demanding Rs. 10 lakh from him.

Dinesh Kumar had told his brother over phone to bring cash to a place, where he had been reportedly held up. Suspecting something fishy, Dinesh Kumar’s brother had lodged a complaint to Bylakuppe Police.

Acting on the complaint, Police had warned the accused over phone. Subsequently, Shivanna, the Police HC, had abandoned Dinesh Kumar near Bylakuppe, before surrendering to Bylakuppe Police.
