HOPCOMS service soon to go online in city

Minimum order capped at Rs. 500

Services of Horticulture Produce Co-operative Marketing Society (HOPCOMS) will soon go online in city to receive fruits and vegetables at the door step but it would be restricted only to purchases of items worth above Rs. 500.

Right now the service exists with HOPCOMS by placing an order either through phone or in person at the Central Office of HOPCOMS which would now go online to benefit the customers. The service is already available in Bengaluru from Feb. 6.

The new service would benefit bulk buyers for marriages and other functions to receive items at wholesale rate. The ordered items would be delivered at the doorstep within 12 to 24 hours from the time of booking, according to HOPCOMS Director Boregowda. The topic of commencing the new service in Mysuru come up for discussion at the meeting of the HOPCOMS Management Committee held in Bengaluru recently chaired by the new President Surya Kumar which got the approval also.

The responsibility of the delivering the ordered items at doorstep is likely to be outsourced to a private party.
