Hotel owners appeal CM to give due consideration to tourism in Budget

The Karnataka Pradesha Hotel and Restaurant Owners Association has appealed Chief Minister Siddharamaiah to give importance for Tourism Development in the State Budget to be presented next month.

A delegation of the Association, led by its President M. Rajendra, which met Chief Minister at his Bengaluru residence recently, submitted a memorandum seeking reduction in Hotel tax from 4 percent to 2 percent, renewal of bar licenses of Restaurants located along Highways, establishment of 4 Regional Tourism Offices in the State to be headed by an IAS Officer, renovation of KRS, Sanction of land for building Hotels and Restaurants and reduction in fee or inter-State permit of tourist vehicles, among others.

The Mysore Industries Association (MIA) too, led by its Secretary Suresh Kumar Jain, submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister seeking to include appropriate measures in the State Budget for promotion of Industries.
