Mysuru: Fire Cools had organised a programme for hotel owners at a private hotel in city yesterday where the participants were groomed on combating accidental fires using fire extinguishers.
Through a power point presentation the hoteliers were briefed on the types of fires and the various types of extinguishers. The hoteliers were also explained on the sequence of actions to be undertaken during a fire accident including evacuation and first-aid.
Fire Cools Proprietors Venkatesh and Satyanarayan supported by others demonstrated the usage of various fire extinguishers by setting off mock fire at the premises of the hotel.
About 200 hotel owners participated in the programme.
