Hotels to be roped in to promote Mysuru as Yoga Capital: Pushkar

Mysuru/Mysore: The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) has chalked out elaborate plans to develop Mysuru as Yoga Capital. And for this, hotels will be roped in to have exclusive Yoga sections to introduce Yoga to foreign tourists.

Speaking to Star of Mysore this morning, KSTDC Managing Director Kumar Pushkar said that hotels can dedicate a part of their infrastructure for Yoga education. “This will be like introducing Yoga to tourists and also providing a gateway to many Yoga learning centres in city,” he said.

Hotels can play a major role in publicising Yoga schools, reputed Yoga practitioners and this will go a long way in promoting Mysuru as Yoga Capital, he added.

Also, KSTDC will promote Aero Sports in a big way in Mysuru and will involve events like Hot Air Ballooning, Paragliding, Hang Gliding, Paramotoring, Parasailing, Skydiving, Air Safaris and Gliders. “All of these are in planning stage and we are speaking to adventure sport operators. Except during rainy season, we are planning to offer adventure sports all round the year,” Pushkar added.
