House Building Co-op. Societies accuse MUDA of non co-operation

To stage demo in front of MUDA office on Nov.8

Mysuru: Accusing the MUDA of placing hurdles in the formation of layouts, House Building Co-operative Societies will stage a demonstration in front of MUDA office on JLB Road at 11 am on Nov.8.

Announcing this at a press meet here on Friday, Madhuvana House Building Co-operative Society President D.T. Prakash said that the House Building Co-operative Societies in Mysuru were functioning in a better manner, forming layouts and distributing sites to members at affordable rates. But the MUDA, in its meeting held on Feb.11, 2010 decided to allot sites on 50:50 ratio, which was rejected by the Society, he said.

Maintaining that the MUDA’s resolution will badly affect the Housing Co-operative Societies, Prakash alleged that the MUDA was placing unnecessary hurdles to the Societies in forming layouts.

Recalling that the MUDA has promised resolving all issues when the Societies had planned a stir in February this year, he said that the Nov.8 stir is in protest against MUDA’s refusal to grant license to them for formation of Layouts and distribution of sites.

Corporation Bank official Subbanna, Employees Union President J. Puttaswamy, KPTCL Chairman H. Ramesh, Sahrudaya HBCS Secretary Nagabushan and others were present.
