House burglar arrested; Rs. 1.75 lakh worth gold jewellery seized

The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police on Feb. 26 have arrested a person on charges of house burglaries and have recovered gold jewellery worth Rs. 1.75 lakh from him.

The arrested person has been identified as 21-year-old Lokesh, a resident of Vinayakanagar in Bengaluru. During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of committing burglaries in Raghavendranagar coming under Nazarbad Police limits and at Chamundeshwari Railway Layout coming under Metagalli Police limits here in 2016.

Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered 69 grams gold jewellery worth Rs. 1.75 lakh from him.

Following the arrested of the house burglar, the Police have solved one case each in Nazarbad and Metagalli Police Stations. The accused already has house burglary cases booked against him at Yeshawanthpur and Basaveshwaranagar Police Stations in Bengaluru.

CCB ACP C. Gopal, led CCB Inspector K.C. Prakash, SI Jayasheelan, ASIs M.D. Shivaraju and K. Vijay and staff in the nabbing and seizing operation.
