Mysuru: The Panadavapura JMFC Court has sentenced four burglars to one year imprisonment besides imposing a fine of Rs. 8,000 after they were found guilty of committing house burglary.
Those sentenced to jail are: Balaraju, Somashekar, Srikanta and Raju, all residents of K.R. Nagar town. They had burgled the house of one Rajesh at Chikkayarahalli village in Pandavapura taluk on Feb. 18, 2018 by breaking open the house and had decamped with Rs. 6,000 cash, 49 grams gold ornaments and 700 grams silver articles.
The then Inspector of KRS Police Station C.M. Ravindra and Sub-Inspector Byatarayanagowda, who had registered a case, conducted investigation and had submitted a charge-sheet to the Court.
Pandavapura JMFC Court Judge R. Mahesh, who took up the case, heard the arguments from both sides, found all the four accused guilty of committing the crime and sentenced them to one year imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 8,000.
