House burgled at Bamboo Bazar

Mysore/Mysuru: Burglars, who broke into a house, have decamped with gold jewellery worth Rs. 1.47 lakh from the house.

The burglary took place in the house of one M.S. Umesh, an employee of a private finance company and a resident of Medar Block in Bamboo Bazar here.

On June 11, Umesh, along with his mother, wife and baby, left for Tirupati. On June 13, house owner Murugesh called Umesh and informed him that the front door of the house has been forcibly opened and theft had taken place.

Umesh, who returned on June 15 to city, came to the house and on inspecting it, he found the almirah was opened using the keys kept nearby and the safety locker forcibly opened and gold jewellery kept in it stolen. Based on the complaint from Umesh, Mandi Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
