Mysuru: Miscreants, who broke into a house at Gayatripuram 4th Cross on Mar.30 night, have made away with cash and gold ornaments kept in the house.
The burglary took place at the house of BJP leader Shivanand. The burglars have made away with Rs.3,000 cash and gold ornaments worth about Rs.2 lakh.
Nazarbad Inspector Mahadevaswamy and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and have registered a case.
Dog Squad and Fingerprint experts were also pressed into service.
It may be recalled that on the same night, another house located in the same locality — Gayatripuram — belonging to 70-year-old Leelavathi, was also burgled and miscreants had decamped with gold ornaments weighing about 70 grams which was kept in the almirah at the house.
