House burgled in city

Gold ornaments, silver articles, cash and valuables worth about Rs. 65 lakh stolen

Mysuru:  Miscreants, who gained entry into a locked house at Hebbal, have decamped with gold ornaments, silver articles, cash and other items worth about Rs. 65 lakh from the house.

The burglary took place at the house of one Manohar Singh in Hebbal 1st stage here.

Manohar, on Apr. 26, had left for Rajasthan and his wife and child were staying at the house of Manohar’s mother at Kuvempunagar. When they came to the house on Apr. 28, they found the door forcibly opened and on inspecting the house, they found 464 grams gold jewellery, 58 kg silver articles, Rs. 1.4 lakh cash, property documents and a air gun worth about Rs. 65 stolen, according to a complaint lodged by Manohar Singh with Hebbal Police.

Hebbal Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
