House burgled in Mysuru

Rs. 1.5 lakh worth jewellery, Rs. 1 lakh cash stolen

Mysuru: Miscreants, who forcibly gained entry into a locked house in Nazarbad Police limits, have decamped with gold jewellery worth about Rs.1.5 lakh and Rs.1 lakh cash, according to the complaint lodged by one Savitha of Vidyanagar at Nazarbad Police Station.

In her complaint, Savitha has stated that the burglars have stolen 37 grams two gold necklace, 17 grams two gold bangles, three finger rings weighing about 20 grams and Rs.1 lakh cash kept in the almirah at the house.

On May 14, Savitha, along with her husband and daughter left for Kollegal to visit her mother and before leaving, she had kept the gold jewellery and Rs.1 lakh cash in the almirah. When the family returned on May 31, they found the rear door of the house forcibly opened. When they went inside, they found the almirah forcibly opened and found the gold jewellery and cash in it missing. She  immediately lodged a complaint with Nazarbad Police.

Nazarbad Police have registered a case in this regard.
