Mysuru: Burglars, who broke into a house by breaking open the terrace door, have decamped with gold and silver articles worth lakhs of rupees. The burglary took place at the house of Shashikanth at Railway Layout in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage in city.

On Feb. 23, Shashikanth and his wife left for Kolkata and when they returned on Mar. 6, they found the doors of the cupboard in the room on the first floor open and on inspecting the cupboard drawer, they found gold ornaments and silver articles kept in it stolen.

Based on the complaint from Shashikanth, Vijayanagar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
