Mysuru: House burglars, who gained entry into a locked house on the 13th cross in Vivekanandanagar here by breaking open the front door on Jan. 20, have decamped with gold ornaments worth about Rs. 3.7 lakh.

The theft took place at the house of one Chikkalingaiah when he had been to Male Mahadeshwara Hill along with his family and the incident came to light when he returned home.

Kuvempunagar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
