HUDA gets 3773.08 hectare land from State Government

“Chief Minister Siddharamaiah has helped in the overall development of Hunsur by forming Hunsur Urban Development Authority (HUDA),” said Hunsur MLA H.P. Manjunath here on Monday.

Addressing a press meet here, Manjunath said that Hunsur had witnessed many development programme over the past few years and added that around d 3773.08 hectare of the land in surrounding 12 villages of the taluk had been handed over to the Authority for taking up development works. The State Government has already named M. Ravishankar as HUDA Chairman while District Planning Authority Assistant Secretary will be the Member-Secretary, Municipal Commissioner will be the Secretary. He also said that the State Government would appoint three persons from private sectors as the members of the Authority.

Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Channabasappa said that MLA H.P. Manjunath had convinced the CM to denotify 3773.08 hectare land which was declared under ‘Green zone’ and added that the HUDA office was working at the Swarna Jayanti Rozgar Yojana building located at Municipal Council Office.

Hunsur Town Municipal Corporation President K. Lakshman, Hunsur Block President H.S. Shivaiah and others were present.

Lands coming under HUDA in surrounding 12 villages

Dodda Hunsur (530.28 hectare); Chikka Hunsur (412.83 hectare); Mookanahalli (401.88 hectare); Nilavagilu (428.73 hectare); Kalkunike (148.54 hectare); Kirijaji (568.05 hectare); Bijaganahalli (465.04 hectare), Govindanahalli (174.25 hectare); Govindanahalli Nala (61.08 hectare); Ramenahalli (164.77 hectare); Nilavagilu Kaval (123.18 hectare) and Belthuru Village (292.85 hectare).
