Hunsur officials trained in poll code enforcement

Mysore/Mysuru: Keeping in view the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, the district authorities have launched comprehensive measures aimed at ensuring a smooth and transparent electoral process.

Yesterday, at the Ambedkar Bhavan in Hunsur, a training programme was convened to discuss the implementation of Model Code of Conduct, vital for upholding the integrity of  democratic process.

Under the guidance of ZP CEO and Mysuru SVEEP Committee Chairperson K.M. Gayathri, officials participated in training sessions focused on enforcing the poll code across various Constituencies. There was a significant emphasis on the precise execution of duties by designated personnel to ensure a fair platform for all candidates.

Particular attention was given to discussions surrounding permissions and management procedures for campaign rallies, stressing the importance of strict adherence to established regulations. Static Surveillance Teams and Flying Squads, led by both the Police and Excise Departments, have been deployed to ensure compliance.

Government officers and staff were reminded of their pivotal role in upholding the principles of fair elections. Master Trainer Kripa Ganesh provided insights into poll code implementation to the trainees, alongside Nodal Officers Rudresh and Nandish.
