Woman urges DC to grant widow pension
Mysore/Mysuru: Stating to consider her husband as dead as he has been missing since 23 years, a woman has appealed to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) to provide her with widow pension.
The woman, who has appealed the DC for widow pension is Vinodamma, a resident of Kanakagiri in city.
In her petition, Vinodamma has stated that if a Government employee goes missing for more than seven years, he is considered to be dead and his wife will be granted widow pension and the same rule applies to private persons also. “My husband is missing since 23 years and a Police complaint is also lodged, but he is still not traced. I am 57-years-old and it has become difficult to lead life. Hence consider my husband as dead and grant me widow pension,” Vinodamma has stated in her petition.
