IFT machine donated to District Hospital

To commemorate World Physiotherapy Day, an IFT (Interferential Therapy) machine was donated to the Physiotherapy Department at District Hospital on KRS Road in city recently. Picture shows Dr. J. Hariprasad, Resident Medical Officer (RMO), District Hospital, Mysuru, receiving the machine from Shubha Sanjay Urs, Founder-President of Mysuru Book Clubs Charitable Trust as Dr. Kusuma Narendra, Rekha, Sukumar, Nagaratna, Dr. S. Akhila and Raghavendra look on. An IFT machine uses low-frequency electrical currents to stimulate tissues for pain relief, muscle stimulation, increased blood flow and reduction of swelling and inflammation. It is used in physical therapy to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
