Mysuru lad Yashas Chandra (JWGC), taking part in the IGU YES Bank Southern India Amateur Golf Championship 2017 at Hyderabad finished third. Viren Thapar of Punjab won the title with a four-day aggregate score of 277 (69+66+69+73). Karthik Sharma of West Bengal finished runner-up with a four-day cumulative score of 281 (69+70+74+68). Yashas Chandra returned with a four-day card of 283 (66+69+72+76).
I.L. Alaap also of Mysuru, finished eighth with a four day score of 289 (71+75+70+73) while another golfer Prafulchand with a four-day cumulative score of 295 (69+76+74+76) ended up in 17th place.
