II PUC evaluation begins: Results likely in first week of May

The evaluation of answer scripts of recently concluded II PUC exams began in city this morning.

The evaluation process is underway at 8 centres across the city — Maharaja PU College (Geography), SBRR Mahajana PU College (Kannada), Marimallappa PU College (English), Gopalaswamy PU College (History), St. Philomena’s PU College (Economics), Vijaya Vittala PU College (Business Studies), Maharani’s Govt. PU College for Girls (Sociology) and Vidyavardhaka PU College (Accountancy).

DDPU Jayaprakash visited all the centres and examined the facilities provided for smooth conduct of the evaluation process. The authorities have deputed one Deputy Examiner for 4 Assistant Examiners. On an average, a total of 250 Assistant Examiners have been deputed to each centre in the city.

The Police Department has  deployed armed personnel to keep a vigil on the answer scripts stored at these centres.

The officials said that the evaluation process is expected to go on for a week or 10 days after which the Department would decide on a date to announce the results, mostly in the first week of May.
