Seeking implementation of the Supreme Court order striking down the consequential seniority in promotions awarded by the State Government for SC/ST employees since 1978, over 1,000 members of Ahimsa Vedike, Mysuru wing, took out a rally from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple to the DC’s office here this morning.

The members alleged that the Supreme Court order has been misinterpreted by a few people and misleading the public that the Apex Court has cancelled reservation for SC/ST for promotions. They contended that they were not against the reservation policy provided it was well within the maximum limit of 18%.
