Ugrappa takes exception to Krishna’s remark

Taking strong exception to BJP leader S.M. Krishna’s remarks against the Congress Government at a press meet in Nanjangud yesterday, senior Congress leader and MLC V.S. Ugrappa said that it was unbecoming on the part of Krishna to make such remarks.

Addressing the press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here this morning, Ugrappa alleged that BJP leaders had forced Krishna to make such a remark.

Wondering why Krishna was not speaking against the merger of the iconic SBM with SBI, Ugrappa alleged that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) by frequently effecting changes in the banking system, was turning the poor and oppressed sections of society away from banks.

Terming the Modi led NDA Government’s policies as anti-poor, he said that the Congress Government in the State was working for the welfare of all sections of the society.

He also claimed that B.S. Yeddyurappa was a corrupt CM and many of his Cabinet Ministers landed in jail on corruption charges, which itself speaks about the BJP.

Transport Minister R. Ramalinga Reddy, MYLAC Chairman H.A. Venkatesh, MLC H.M. Revanna, City Congress President R. Murthy and others were present at the press meet.
