Bengaluru: The Department of Pre-University Education has, in a circular issued recently, said second PUC students appearing for exams in March – April 2018, to write all the exams in only one medium — either in English  or Kannada.

Hitherto, the students used to answer in English for some question papers and in Kannada for some other papers.

The circular also set Sept. 30 deadline for the students to make their choice of the medium. This has led to confusion in the evaluation of answer scripts. Now, the Department has taken this decision to avoid such confusions, according to the Department sources.
