February 17, 2025

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner has warned of imposing a fine of Rs. 10,000, if the public violate rules framed under Karnataka Open Space (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act, 1981.

In a press release, it is stated that, the advertisement boards and posters are being stuck in public places at bus stands, walls of prominent buildings, overbridges, electric poles and other areas in public. Apart from denting the generation of revenue to the MCC, such practices are marring the visual beauty of the city.

The offenders shall be imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000, under Act No. 20(C) as decided in the MCC Council, stated the MCC Commissioner.
