Illegal betting on horse racing: CCB Police arrest two; seize 2 mobile phones, one tab

Mysuru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, who raided a house on the 4th Cross in Hebbal 2nd Stage, have arrested two persons for indulging in illegally betting on horse racing and have seized two mobile phones, one tab and other equipment from them.

The CCB Police raided the house following a tip off that the person, who used to collect the results of the horse races being held at Mysore Race Course (MRC) before it was announced, was collecting money from the public and indulge the general public in illegal gambling.

A case has been registered at the jurisdictional Hebbal Police Station in this regard.

DCP (Crime & Traffic) S. Jahnavi and Central Crime Branch ACP S.N. Sandesh Kumar guided CCB Sub-Inspector Maruthi Antharagatti and staff Raghavendra and Manjunath in the operation.
