Cases registered against gas agency owner, driver

Mysuru: Officials of the Food and Civil Supplies Department and City Crime Branch (CCB) Police personnel, who conducted a joint operation on an illegal LPG refilling unit on Sept.19, have registered cases against the gas agency owner and the driver.

Cases have been registered against Nandish, owner of Adishakthi Gas Agency in Gangothri Layout and driver Siddaraju, for their alleged involvement in the illegal racket.

On Sept. 19, officials raided the gas agency during which driver Siddaraju was found taking domestic LPG cylinders in a van.

The illegal racket came to light when officials interrogated Siddaraju. 28 LPG cylinders weighing 4 kg, four cylinders weighing 2 kg, two weighing 14 kg, one cylinder weighing 19.2 kg and seven refilling rods were found in the van

It came to light that the gas agency owner Nandish was the kingpin behind the racket.

A case has been registered at Saraswathipuram Police Station in this regard.
